Project Runway Season 7 Cast

If you’re a fan of Project Runway then you’ll know that this seventh season features a lot of colorblocking, especially from Mila Hermanovski. In fact, it seems that colorblocking is all this designer can do and it’s getting repetitive but overall colorblocking is actually becoming one of the latest fashion trends.

Colorblocking is the combination of two contrasting colors, usually in large chunks. Following the colorblock trend will be quite easy in 2010 as more and more designers are adopting this approach to fashion, looking for bold statements made simply with color.

This coming season you’re most likely to find colorblocked dresses but with the popularity (or expected popularity) of jumpsuits and rompers there should be a number of colorblocked alternatives there as well. Eventually the look will bleed over into tops and suddenly it might start to look a little bit like the 80’s all over again.

But before we dive back into 80’s fashion, try a colorblocked dress on for size, you’ll be surprised at the slimming effects they can have and how the contrasting colors grab just the right amount of attention in all the right places. By the way, I’m betting Mila makes it to Bryant Park on Project Runway.
