Is Goth the New Celebrity Fashion

By |   August - 18 - 2009

In an upcoming issue of Elle, Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick go Goth and look incredible.

The Goth look might actually be catching on a bit with the Hollywood hip set and the trend grabbing youth as Twilight has become the hottest book and movie for those trendsetters and there’s nothing quite as Goth as a vampire.

Grab your own both look with lots and loads of black. Start with simple black pants, black leather pants if you’re a little bit edgy and willing to take that leap. Top your bottoms with a black top or get a little extra va va voom in your look by adding some metallic to your top. Free People has a Sequin Mesh Slip Dress in a variety of colors that would look smoking hot over a pair of skinny leather leggings.

The days of Goth clothing paired with Doc Martens and military style combat boots is gone, at least for women, so spice up your look with a pair of black leather stiletto boots or booties and really look dangerous.

The outfit is half of the look but everyone knows that a real Goth goes all the way which means hair color, Goth make up, which is sometimes difficult to find, and jewelry and accessories that are a bit Goth, otherworldly or mysterious in nature.

Then it’s all about attitude, which is never lacking in the Hollywood celebrity set and easily adopted by trendsetting teens.
