Looking Naked and Wilde at the Emmys

Olivia Wilde, one of the newer regulars on the series House, looked stunning in a Marchesa dress. Her peek-a-boo shear embellished dress was a complete hit to everyone who saw her coming. Her incredible look proves that skin (or the illusion of it) is in!

But for those who saw her going the Marchesa dress may have raised a few eyebrows and shook a couple of heads. The beautiful illusion of layers of silver touched lace fabric gracefully draped over her body, covering her in just the right places is totally destroyed by the long nude colored zipper running down her back. One would think that a designer like Marchesa would have a better way to construct this masterpiece, like a side zipper perhaps.

Huge zipper gaff aside, Olivia Wilde still looked stunning with her small Marchesa clutch and the perfect amount of jewelry. Her teardrop earrings with diamond accents are a nice balance and the simple strand of diamonds encircling her wrist may just bring the tennis bracelet back into vogue.

So lesson being, make sure the construction elements of your big look are appropriately hidden and then let the gown make the statement with just a touch of accessories to keep the look even and balanced.
