Carrie Underwood
First of all, I guess a kudos is to be given to many of Hollywood’s starlets for being bold and trying something different. A lot of the women (the younger ones) opted for short dresses that have no sleeve or almost no sleeve, and many chose to incorporate interesting prints as well. But so much noise on the red carpet left me longing for a nice little black dress or a simple flowing gown.
One standout dress that seems to have everyone talking is Carrie Underwood’s Christian Cota dress. Quite frankly, Carrie looks absolutely stunning, even though it looks like she borrowed a prop from Elvira or Little Shop of Horrors and draped it over a plain sweetheart dress. I KNOW everyone else is raving about the dress but I really think its U-G-L-Y. I just can’t find anything about this dress that I like, but I will say I love Carrie’s choice of strappy black sandals and her quaint black handbag and the girl is as cute as a bug’s ear, I just hate her dress.
One note to take away from the 2010 People’s Choice runway, asymmetrical designs are going to be HUGE in 2010.
