Holmes Cruise Wedding

The average wedding in the United States today costs around $20,000. To some this is an event that is worth every dime and the sky is the limit when it comes to budget. But many people have decided that the outrageous fees associated with a wedding are a waste of money and they’ve decided to use that money in a more exciting way and suddenly destination weddings are on the rise.

Vacation packages have been designed to cater to the betrothed couple by offering everything from flights to hotels to catering and the service itself. Destination weddings are especially popular with people who are more established in their careers and/or heading down the aisle for a second time.

Another great way to save money is by not going overboard on your attire. A large chunk of the wedding budget is spent on the wedding dress and some couples even purchase their bridesmaids dresses and rent their groomsmen’s tuxedos. By purchasing wedding apparel at a store that doesn’t specialize in wedding clothing, like Ann Taylor, then you can save large amounts of money and there actually is a chance that those bridesmaids’ dresses will be worn again.

Wedding invitations are another big expense that doesn’t have to be. Cheap wedding invitations have come a long way and today they look just as good as their expensive kin and obviously deliver the same message.
