Rihanna at Fashion Week Paris

Fashion Week in Paris has brought some great fashion forward looks to the forefront, it’s also had some low points, like the Lindsay Lohan collection for Ungaro. But one of the biggest highlights at the fashion show is not on the runways, its sitting in the audience.

Rihanna is bringing her usual style and grace to Fashion Week in Paris but unfortunately it’s not with her own collection. Her take on the little black dress is fantastic. A beautifully simple short sleeved mini dress is loaded with black accessories, a stylish and Parisian styled black hat, black hosiery, a simple black handbag and the show stopper, a pair of opera length black gloves. But let’s not forget the shoes, solid black pumps would have turned the entire outfit into a snoozer worthy of a Hollywood funeral for a no-name actress, but Rihanna chose wisely with checked black and white pumps with just a touch of red in the red heel. Perfection!

Rihanna is one of those celebrities with impeccable taste or incredible fashion consultants and should have a clothing line with her name attached, not the aforementioned wreck of a pseudo-celebrity. Rihanna did design a line for charity a few years back and has promised her own line but it has still yet to arrive, could these very public appearances at Fashion Week Paris be a marketing ploy or inspiration for an upcoming Rihanna line? Let’s hope so.
