Star Trek Premiere Brings Out the Stars

By |   May - 6 - 2009

The Star Trek premiere on April 30th brought out a long list of Hollywood hotties who wanted to get their mugs in the press. But there were a handful of them who shouldn’t have left the house.

Leighton Meester Star Trek Premiere

First, we have Leighton Meester who looks like she actually believed with a little modification she could wear that horrendous bridesmaid’s dress again. Besides the fact that it appears as if she’s squeezed into the dress and just about to burst out of her bows. Rather than sporting this Yves Saint Laurent dress, Leighton Meester should have opted for this Rag & Bone One Shoulder Silk Sheath Dress. The curve of the vertical stripes are very flattering, even to a figure that may have put on a couple of pounds. The gray color is similar to her too short bridesmaid’s dress, and the black gives her shoes an extra reason for existing. All around this is just a better dress and a great look for the Star Trek premiere.

Secondly, we have Winona Ryder in a hard to describe black dress with hair that looks like it hasn’t been combed or washed in days. This dress defies reason or explanation, except that perhaps the full skirt gives her room to hide some five-finger discount trinkets. Winona Ryder would have looked much better in this simple and sexy Blumarine Bow Detail Dress. The understated dress has a touch of elegance and girlish fun with the small bow details rather than the loud mesh and lace dress she opted to wear.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse Star Trek Premiere

Finally, we have Star Trek viewer, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and what can we say about that outfit except that it’s not appropriate for a major motion picture premiere and perhaps isn’t even appropriate for sitting at home playing Grand Theft Auto. If it was casual Christopher Mintz-Plasse was looking for then something a little cooler would have been better, like this Wicked Quick Slim Fit Crewneck T-Shirt with this BOSS Orange ‘Osmo-W’ Brushed Cotton Jacket which is uber casual but gives the outfit a little sex appeal. The skinny jeans are a great statement and look okay with his retro looking tennis shoes, but a casual loafer might have been a better alternative for the Star Trek premiere.
