Sweaters for the Season

By |   December - 23 - 2009

kate-bosworth-sweater One of the biggest challenges of the winter season is finding a sweater that will keep you warm while looking sexy. Too many sweaters are all bulk and shapeless and then others are sexy and sleek but no warmer than gauze lingerie.

This season there is a new trend in sweaters that is strictly U-G-L-Y and really not well thought out. Ruffle front sweaters. They claim to be feminine but a bulky sweater ruffle is hard to make feminine looking and when you put them on the front it hides those sexy curves that sweaters emphasize and from a distance it sort of resembles chest hair. This is definitely not a look for someone who wants to turn up their sex appeal.

But one good look that’s evolved and gained popularity is the sweater dress. This look isn’t a sure fire win though, look for a good fitting sweater dress that emphasizes your strong points while hiding the rough patches. Shapeless sweater dresses don’t flatter anyone, they just hang there like a wet sock. But there are fitted looks that flatter almost every figure.

And finally, there is always the practical cardigan. Typically not the sexiest look for the season, but you can always wear the sexy shirt under and just pull on the cardigan when you need it. Or up the sex appeal by just wearing the cardigan and leaving a lot of room for cleavage.
