Kanye West interrupted the acceptance speech of country sweetheart Taylor Swift after she was awarded Best Female Video; apparently Kanye West believed that the award should have gone to Beyonce.

While Kanye West looked like a complete buffoon, no matter what he wore, the young Taylor Swift looked stunning (and stunned) in her asymmetrical one shoulder dress littered with rhinestones and complemented with beautiful crystal chandelier earrings. The interruption cut short Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech but the apparently stunned and unwitting recipient of Kanye West’s unusual compliment, Beyonce, stopped after her performance to give Taylor Swift a chance to finish her acceptance speech.

Beyonce and Taylor Swift then both appeared on stage in almost matching red dresses and with humor and humility, Taylor Swift was able to complete her thanks and the two women proved there was no animosity between them. Although the women showed up in red, it’s Kanye West that should be looking red, with embarrassment that is. There’s simply no excuse for his behavior and the overzealous singer should think about keeping his mouth shut at future awards shows.
